# Darkelf Shadow CE v7.0.26

Darkelf Shadow CE is a privacy-focused macOS browser powered by a customized QtWebEngine 6.11.2.

Highlights

**Touch ID / WebAuthn:** Improved native macOS authentication integration; GitHub Touch ID sign-in has been tested in development.

**Privacy:** Built-in tracker and ad blocking, canvas and WebGL fingerprinting defenses, and WebRTC restrictions.

**Compatibility:** Custom QtWebEngine with H.264 playback support and site-specific compatibility handling.

**macOS packaging:** Refined Developer ID signing, provisioning, and verification procedures.

Requirements and notes

**Platform:** macOS on Apple Silicon (ARM64).

**DRM:** Widevine is not bundled; DRM-protected playback may be unavailable.

**Passkeys:** Support varies by site and authentication provider; Apple's additional browser passkey entitlement is not yet approved.
