Release Notes

# 🧿 Darkelf Cocoa Browser v7.1.2

**Media Compatibility & Privacy Refinements** · October 11, 2026

Darkelf Cocoa 7.1.2 improves video playback compatibility while retaining its native WebKit privacy and content-blocking architecture.

✨ Highlights

▶️ Video Playback Restored

**ESPN, NBA, and NHL videos** now play in developer testing with content filtering enabled.

Refined media compatibility handling in native WebKit content rules to avoid disrupting supported players.

🛡️ Adblocking Retained

**100/100 on Adblock Tester** in the tested configuration, with content rules active.

Site-specific compatibility exceptions may allow some requests that would otherwise be blocked. The score does not guarantee universal tracker blocking.

🎨 Native Cocoa Experience

Carries forward the compact, accent-aware **Move & Resize** window popover.

Retains Darkelf-styled context menus, keyboard shortcuts, accent synchronization, and custom browsing-data confirmation.

Preserves ephemeral browsing, fingerprinting defenses, WebRTC restrictions, and local MiniAI Sentinel monitoring.

🧪 Validation

**Confirmed in developer testing:** ESPN playback · NBA playback · NHL playback · Adblock Tester **100/100**.

**Still recommended before distribution:** Verify other streaming sites, homepage rendering, normal browsing, and the final signed/notarized DMG. Results may vary by site and system.
