# 🧿 Darkelf Cocoa Browser 7.0.25

Darkelf Cocoa 7.0.25 introduces a refined **native macOS menu system**, expanded appearance customization, and new read-only Privacy & Security panels.

This release builds on the per-tab ephemeral isolation improvements introduced in 7.0.24 while focusing on **interface consistency, usability, privacy transparency, and a polished Cocoa browsing experience**.

✨ What's New

🛡️ Privacy & Security Panel

Added a dedicated **Privacy & Security** section to the native Cocoa menu.

Introduced organized privacy information submenus:

- **Protection**

- **Website Exceptions**

- **Site Permissions**

Added a read-only display of the current **Strict** protection level.

Added protection-status information for:

- Tracker blocking through WebKit content rules.

- Built-in fingerprinting defenses.

- WebRTC blocking.

- Ephemeral tab isolation.

Added read-only site-permission information for WebRTC, camera, microphone, location, and notifications.

Improved submenu navigation and Back-button behavior.

Corrected Privacy & Security menu items appearing in unrelated sections.

Preserved existing security restrictions without introducing global protection-disabling switches.

**Note:** Protection levels, website exceptions, and site permissions are informational in 7.0.25. The new panels do not expose configurable security overrides.

Standardized native menu panels to **280 × 400 points**.

Increased text readability throughout the menu system.

Improved spacing, typography, and alignment.

Improved consistency between menu headings, Back buttons, and content sections.

Preserved the existing local MiniAI monitoring architecture.

🔖 Bookmarks & Navigation

ℹ️ About Darkelf

Expanded the About panel with a concise description of Darkelf Cocoa's architecture and privacy features.

Refined information spacing and typography.

Updated copyright information to **2025–2026**.

🔒 Per-Tab Ephemeral Isolation

Darkelf Cocoa retains the strengthened isolation architecture introduced in 7.0.24:

Unique tab UID and container nonce.

Non-persistent WebKit website data stores.

Per-tab isolated browsing contexts.

Deterministic cleanup of isolated container references.

Cleanup of per-tab Post-Quantum identity state.

Cleanup of per-tab fingerprint-defense state.

Explicit release of WebView and ephemeral data-store references during tab destruction.

These mechanisms help reduce persistent browsing state and unnecessary cross-tab correlation.

🌐 Safari & WebKit Compatibility

Retains the general **Safari 27.0.1-compatible user-agent identity**.

Preserves Darkelf's dedicated generic WebKit identity for YouTube.

Maintains site-aware compatibility handling.

Retains the US-English main-frame language preference:

- `en-US,en;q=0.9`

Preserves Google regional hints:

- `hl=en`

- `gl=us`

Preserves YouTube regional hints:

- `hl=en`

- `gl=US`

Locale preferences affect website presentation and do not conceal the geographic location of the network connection.

🛡️ Privacy & Security

Darkelf Cocoa continues to provide:

Ephemeral WebKit website data stores.

Per-tab browsing and container isolation.

Deterministic ephemeral container cleanup.

Canvas, WebGL, WebGPU, and audio fingerprint defenses.

Per-tab randomized fingerprint-defense state.

WebRTC blocking.

Media-device privacy restrictions.

Battery, timezone, and locale normalization.

Tracker and advertising-domain filtering.

WebKit content-rule blocking.

HTTP-to-HTTPS upgrading where applicable.

Post-Quantum integrity state.

Local MiniAI Sentinel monitoring.

Targeted compatibility handling for verification and challenge flows.

No browser telemetry.

The Post-Quantum Integrity Layer supplements Darkelf's privacy and integrity mechanisms; it does **not** replace HTTPS/TLS or provide independent post-quantum-secure network transport.
