Release Notes

# 🧿 Darkelf Cocoa Browser 7.0.24

Darkelf Cocoa 7.0.24 strengthens Darkelf's **per-tab ephemeral isolation and cleanup architecture** while improving Safari/WebKit compatibility and preserving the native interface enhancements introduced in 7.0.23.

✨ What's New

🔒 Per-Tab Ephemeral Isolation

Strengthened **per-tab WebKit isolation** and container lifecycle management.

Each tab maintains its own unique **tab UID and container nonce**.

Improved tracking of each tab's isolated WebKit data store.

Added deterministic cleanup of isolated container references when a tab closes.

Improved cleanup of per-tab **Post-Quantum identity and fingerprint-defense state**.

WebView and ephemeral data-store references are explicitly released during tab destruction.

Prevented stale isolated-container references from remaining after closed tabs.

Preserved stable per-tab identity for the lifetime of each tab while keeping tabs isolated from one another.

🌐 Safari & WebKit Compatibility

Updated the general Safari compatibility identity to **Safari 27.0.1**.

Preserved Darkelf's dedicated **generic WebKit identity for YouTube** compatibility.

Improved site-aware browser identity handling.

Retained native WebKit behavior rather than presenting an unrelated browser engine.

Improved compatibility with modern WebKit-dependent websites.

🇺🇸 Locale & Regional Compatibility

Expanded the **US-English locale preference** across HTTP/HTTPS main-frame navigation.

Main-frame requests use `en-US,en;q=0.9`.

Google receives `hl=en` and `gl=us` regional hints where applicable.

YouTube receives `hl=en` and `gl=US` regional hints.

Locale preferences affect site presentation and do not conceal the geographic location of the network connection.

🎨 Native Interface

Retains the integrated **Background** settings panel.

Includes all nine Darkelf Home background styles:

- Darkelf Glow

- Midnight

- Aurora

- Nebula

- Carbon

- Pure Black

- Deep Ocean

- Crimson Eclipse

- Emerald Matrix

Retains integrated Accent Color selection.

Retains refined menu navigation and Back-button behavior.

Retains improved MiniAI report layout.

Retains refined tab hover behavior.

🛡️ Privacy & Security

Darkelf Cocoa continues to provide:

Ephemeral WebKit website data stores

Per-tab browsing and container isolation

Deterministic ephemeral container cleanup

Canvas, WebGL, WebGPU, and audio fingerprint defenses

Per-tab randomized fingerprint-defense state

WebRTC blocking

Media-device privacy controls

Battery, timezone, and locale normalization

Tracker and advertising-domain filtering

HTTP → HTTPS upgrading where applicable

Post-Quantum integrity state

Local MiniAI Sentinel monitoring

Targeted compatibility handling for verification and challenge flows

No telemetry

The Post-Quantum Integrity Layer supplements Darkelf's browser privacy and integrity mechanisms; it does **not** replace HTTPS/TLS.

🧠 MiniAI Sentinel

MiniAI Sentinel operates locally and monitors signals including tracker activity, fingerprinting behavior, suspicious requests, replay anomalies, scraping/enumeration behavior, and navigation risk.
